Where is India Located?

India is located in South Asia. It has over 7000 kilometers of coastline on the Indian Ocean, the third largest body of water in the world. Three islands are near India, Sri Lanka, Indonesia, and the Maldives. India also shares borders with China, Bhutan, Nepal, Bangladesh, Pakistan, and Myanmar.

There are different cultures, customs, backgrounds, languages, sights, sounds, cuisine, clothing, products etc. There are many beautiful rivers in India. The Ganges River, (Ganga or Holy Ganga, in India) is the largest and most well known of them, and is located in Northern India.

The Problems Faced by orphans in India:

Many children are facing abandonments beyond their control. Many of the kids are orphans in India who have never known family love, never experienced the warmth, joy and acceptance of a home environment. These are problems faced by orphans in India.

These children are orphans; and for them, finding a family is a dream come true, when all the pieces fall together and living in a home becomes real.

Years of Loneliness and Despair Faced by orphans:

Those who never find a home face hurdles and burdens that no child should bare. They face years of loneliness and despair. Many struggle to excel in their orphanages. Many kids experience developmental/language delays and grow slowly. A general observation, children raised in orphanages lose approximately 1 month of linear growth each 3 months in orphanage care.

The special news is that many of these children will make a complete recovery with your help and support. Your donations of any amounts can help provide food, better shelter, clothing and quality health care for these children. How You Can Support The Vision:

GCEDC welcomes donations in many forms. Checks and Cash donations will be appreciated but donations in-kind are also much needed. You can donate clothes, food, water and tents to widows, children and orphans living in orphanages worldwide, and disaster relief operations.

Global Community Economic Development Corporation accepts used clothing, knitted items and shoes and distributes them to the needy. Orphanages would greatly appreciate your toy donations.

You can also donate vehicles, furniture, computers, books, school supplies and practically anything that you may no longer have a use for but others can certainly benefit from.
